Beach Day
New Year’s Eve
This past weekend we played 3 shows, 3 nights in a row! Friday night we played at Radio-Active-Records with Suede Dudes and Honey Train. A really fun, packed show! New Year’s Eve was our big show of the weekend! We played with The Band In Heaven, who are really nice people! They had such a great sound that reminisces Velvet Underground and Brian Jonestown Massacre. Two of my personal favorite bands! That night Surfer Blood played a crazy, fun set! John Paul jumped into the audience, got tangled around the pole in front of the stage, dove back up and kept going like nothing happened! It was far out! They were a really nice, down to earth band. They showed up and watched all the other bands. That is pretty cool and something I can’t say for many other bands. Then Sunday night we were on the bill for William Stull and The Vignette’s tour at Suite 206, which is The Jellyfish Brother’s space. What a cool space! It felt like an art gallery, but way cooler! Locals that also played were The Jellyfish Brothers, Heartline Fits < who I personally love! > and a new favorite band> The Cost! The Cost were really cool with two guitarists and they reminded me so much of Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth! I think I may have talked them into doing a cover of “Dirty Boots” by Sonic Youth > that remains to be seen:) By Monday morning I was exhausted and still had to wait in line at school to see an advisor and get my new schedule, which includes math….bummer….I love math, but not on Sundays!! Anyway, here are a ton of photos from the shows!
